We are thrilled to share that QFX has been awarded £700k Phase 1 funding as part of the UK government’s £121 million investment into quantum technologies. This milestone marks a significant step forward for our team and the SrROCK project, which is focused on delivering scalable quantum hardware solutions for timing and sensing.

The funding, announced by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, is part of a national mission to accelerate quantum innovation and bring cutting-edge technologies out of the lab and into real-world applications. It’s a bold and necessary move to ensure the UK remains at the forefront of global quantum leadership - supporting breakthroughs in fraud detection, healthcare, cybersecurity, and more.

At QFX, we’re proud to be contributing to this vision. Our Phase 1 project will explore the maturity and deployment potential of quantum-enabled sensing systems, with a focus on infrastructure resilience and secure communications. This aligns directly with the government’s National Quantum Strategy Missions, which aim to harness quantum capabilities to solve some of society’s most complex challenges.

Winning this support is not just a validation of our technology, it’s a recognition of the incredible team behind it. From our engineers and researchers to our partners and investors, everyone at QFX is united by a shared belief: quantum isn’t just the future - it’s happening now.

We’re excited to collaborate with government, academia, and industry as we move into Phase 1 delivery. And we’re already looking ahead to Phase 2, where we hope to demonstrate the full potential of our platform in operational environments.

This funding also reinforces our commitment to building a thriving quantum ecosystem in the UK. With hubs in Oxfordshire and beyond, and a growing network of quantum startups, the UK is rapidly becoming a global destination for quantum innovation.

We’ll be sharing more updates as the project progresses, including technical milestones and partnership opportunities.
